Hello... thanks for taking time to read through my website. Like most adults, I have had several careers over the years, and all leading up to my current career as a Mental Health Counselor. I have counseled people from all walks of life, and, as you can see from the list below, through many challenges and transitions. My approach is definitely client driven, depending on what you might need. I use a blended approach including Client-centered therapy, DBT, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Psychoeducation, with a strong focus on Mindfulness including deep breathing, guided meditation, healing light visualization, Meridian Tapping (EFT) and informal art therapy. I take a personal interest in your goals for therapy and in you.

"The dragonfly, in almost every part of the world, symbolizes change [in general] and change in the perspective of self-realization, and the kind of change that has its source in mental and emotional maturity and the understanding of the deeper meaning of life." ~ www.dragonfly-site.com/meaning-symbolize.html
I began leasing the web address of "www.howdoesthatmakeyoufeel.org" several years ago knowing that some day I would use it to build out in some profound way. It's a slight dig towards some of my grad school professors who cringe at this question, because in actuality, no one can make us feel anything except that which we allow. But it is a common question for therapists to ask informally to get the conversation rolling at times. I'm happy to be able to use this as my web address now for my practice.
I spent about 20 years in the field of Human Resources Management as a generalist and manager, and often counseled people in the areas of interpersonal communication, career counseling, problem solving, performance management, professional development, etc. This career was my inspiration to become more formally trained in mental health counseling. I bring my collective experience from past careers to my current career that allows me to help people find their answers to their life questions in many cases. What are you struggling with today?
